In June 2025, Konjyosom and Mahankal rural municipalities organized stakeholder consultation meetings facilitated by the Village Education Committees in collaboration with Loo Niva and Patan CBR. The objective of the program was to gather input for the upcoming fiscal year's annual plans and budgets, with a focus on education and child protection.
At Konjyosom rural municipality, key officials, including Education Section head Mr. Bishnu Prasad Acharya and Social Development Committee Coordinator Santalal Lama, opened the session. Acharya shared updates on the activities conducted by the Education Section and proposed educational policies and budgets. Stakeholders emphasized prioritizing the municipality's education plan, allocating resources for a 10-year school plan. Mr. Krishna Govinda Maharjan, Program Coordinator of Loo Niva and Mr. Loo Nibhah Chitrakar, Executive Director of Patan CBR, handed over 21-point recommendations targeting vulnerable children. Chairperson Mr. Krishna Man Lama acknowledged budget constraints but committed to prioritizing education.
Similarly, in Mahankal rural municipality, local leaders and stakeholders, including Mr. Manoj Dulal, Senior Social Mobilization Officer of Loo Niva, and Mr. Ram Bahadur Kunwar, Project Officer, discussed on project progress report of last year and future priorities. Ward Chair of Ward Number 2 of Mahankal Rural Municipality, Mr. Johny Kumar Nyasur shared about the implementation status. Recommendations included promoting child participation through literature and art programs and enhancing inclusive education and protection initiatives. Loo Niva submitted the same 21-point recommendations letter to the chairperson of Mahankal Rural Municipality, Mr. Ganesh K.C., who also committed to incorporating the suggestions into the upcoming budget.
