On April 3rd and 4th, 2024, a two-day training session was held at Rato Gurans Resort, Dadeldhura, focusing on sensitization and responsibility for school teachers from Nawadurga and Bhageshwar RM. Organized by EDCU and LEUs, the event aimed to enhance participants' capacity in inclusion and child protection within schools. Key objectives included orienting teachers on effective child protection mechanisms and fostering the development of action plans to strengthen child protection systems in schools.
A total of 36 participants, including 13 males and 23 females, attended the training. 23 head teachers and focal teachers were successfully trained on inclusion and child protection mechanisms. During the sessions, participants actively engaged in discussions and formulated detailed action plans to implement robust child protection measures within their respective schools.
Loo Niva will provide the necessary follow-up to support the implementation of these action plans. This initiative marks a significant step towards creating safer and more inclusive learning environments, ensuring that school teachers are well-prepared to address the needs of vulnerable children and support child protection standards effectively.
