From April 8th to 10th, 2024, a three-day training event was held to empower civil society organizations (CSOs) and media personnel from Sudurpaschhim Province. The training aimed to enhance participants' capacities in evidence-based advocacy and accountability-seeking related to the right to education, child protection, including children with disabilities, and the elimination of child labor. The training was held in collaboration with Swantantrata Abhiyan Nepal.
A total of 40 participants attended, including 25 males and 15 females. During the event, rigorous sessions were conducted to develop a collective action plan for advocacy and accountability in these crucial areas.
By the conclusion of the training, all media and CSO participants were equipped with enhanced skills in evidence-based advocacy, aiming to strengthen efforts towards ensuring the right to education and child protection. Moreover, each participant contributed to the development of a comprehensive action plan, fostering collaborative efforts in advocacy and accountability-seeking initiatives. This initiative marks a significant step towards achieving sustainable development goals and ensuring the protection and well-being of children in Sudurpaschim Province.
