The Project Orientation for the REAP 2026 initiative was successfully conducted in Mahankal Rural Municipality on 23 January 2026 and Konjyosom Rural Municipality on 25 January 2026. The orientations reached a total of 72 participants (51 male and 21 female), with 47 participants from Mahankal RM and 25 participants from Konjyosom RM.
The sessions brought together a broad range of local stakeholders, including local government officials, school representatives, community leaders, and child club members, reflecting strong local engagement. The active participation and diverse representation established growing local ownership and collective commitment to advancing child protection and inclusive education under the REAP project.
Participants appreciated the project's ongoing efforts and highlighted key priority areas, including preventing school dropouts, ending child marriage, and ensuring continuity of education up to Grade 12. Discussions emphasized the need for flexible, context-responsive planning, strong institutional coordination, and community-led approaches to reach the most vulnerable children effectively.
The orientations repeated a shared commitment to transparency, partnership, and sustained action, with a clear focus on capacity-building, community awareness, and inclusive service delivery. Stakeholders expressed strong enthusiasm to work collaboratively in achieving meaningful and long-term improvements in child protection and education outcomes in Nepal.
