The Monitoring Team of Loo Niva conducted its regular internal monitoring during this first quarter. The team has conducted monitoring visits of ESP on 12 March, REAP project on 26 and 27 March, and CLEAP project from 24 to 27 March in this quarter. The team interacted with local stakeholders and beneficiaries and also made observations and selected home visits.
During the time of ESP monitoring, special attention was given to two vulnerable cases through home visits, including one child facing psycho-social challenges and another involved in child labor. Counseling support was provided to both students and their families. Monitoring of the REAP project showed improved awareness among teachers, caregivers, and community stakeholders. It found that the functional effectiveness of some local stakeholders is still limited. It also determined that some project schools still required technical support in formulating SIP. Similarly, the program team of CLEAP carried out a monitoring visit during this quarter. They conducted the meetings and interactions with LCRC, LEC, SMC, PTA, child club members, and members of CSOs. The team found that structured guidance is required for the child club for systematic advocacy and consistency, need to improve the ownership feeling with SMC/PTA/school teachers and regular follow-up.
The regular monitoring provided key learnings during this quarter: need for continuous capacity building, regular monitoring, stakeholders and structured support to child clubs and community groups to improve overall program effectiveness.
